Holding out for a hero!
I've not heard all of Bonnies albums but i have a few and this one is by the far the best as it has a great overview of her greatest hits, i bought this album on tape cassette in the 80's and replaced it later but the only problem was that some of these albums with the same cover does not have the great tune Band of Gold, the one i bought thankfully has along with her many other hits such as Holdiing out for a hero which was the theme tune to the 80's TV series Cover up!, the sultry More than a Lover, the sexy tune Here she comes along with the mystical Bright eye's and all her other major hit songs. If you're even just a little bit of a fan of Bonnie Tyler i recommend you buy this album, even if you don't buy any other of Bonnies albums this should be in your collection as it covers her songs brilliantly, the sound quality of the disc is fine a little quieter than some CD's but no problem as it just needs an extra small tweak of the volume to bring the power of Bonnies voice out well.

Quality, classy and the great handsome Gerald Harper
Anyone in their early 50's will remember this TV series when they were a kid, but it's only now as an early 50 something that i can watch this series with renewed insight. The series spanned from 1969-74 and is about an upper class gent who has inherited his fathers country manor house (Stately home) in Yorkshire also a newspaper business. Played by the very debonair and handsome Gerald Harper, Hadleigh takes you through the lifestyle of this go getting and forthright debonair man, through his trials and tribulations, love life, business deals and fight to keep his home and newpaper franchise afloat during difficult times, he is also a bit of a white night dealing with social injustice and doing the decent thing. Harper is magnificent and totally believable as the upper class man about town, there are also a lot of surprising character parts from other house hold named actors and actresses who appear in different episodes. and Hadleigh's girlfriends and female associates are very attractive, classy and reminiscent of the style and women of the early 70's with the clothing styles of 70's Britain... which is also part of the charm of this series now. The series starts off in black and white and continues in colour with later episodes but is no less watchable in B&W as the quality of filming and sound is excellent and doesn't detract from viewing. If you like nostalgia and real class and quality then i can fully recommend this box set of Hadleigh. The DVD's come in a sturdy, stout and spacious see-thru case with the attractive picture of Hadleigh and his female aquaintances. This is a great product and fantastic period series, anyone who like the nostalgia of the 70's and want's to take a time machine back to a time of classy programming with classy actors and actresses and a more better place then this is a must buy.
