Interesting but flawed game.
The game requires more depth to provide a challenge. It's OK in solo play but there's a lot of downtime in multi-play games and the bidding phase is completely unbalanced.
The rules are designed to look like a hand-written journal which looks nice but on some occasions makes reading difficult.
However, the components are excellent. There are a number of home-brew alternatives to bidding online, and I can see why.
