Not the same.
This is my second purchase as I was so pleased with the first. I even bought two this time as it 'yellows' with age - perfectly normal for plastic which is handled all the time.
Unfortunately the hole for the charging plug is now a bit on the small side and the solution is either to take the cover off ( not difficult but annoying) or trim out around the hole with a scalpel - tricky! This was not an issue with the original purchase.

Great introduction.
Great introduction to electronics for kids. So far seems very durable, both physically and electronically.

Doesn't work.
It doesn't work. Got a replacement - still wouldn't work. Was trying to connect HDMI output of a Virgin V6 box to the composite input of a Panasonic HDD/DVD recorder.
