Solved My Problem
By booting up my PC using the Windows disc, I was able to solve the problem of my PC being stuck on Configuring Windows updates.

iPhone Disappointment
A brilliant package with ONE exception: it is very poor at picking up a signal. Where my £50 LG Cookie gets 4 bars, the iphone shows no service or one bar, which is insufficient to make a call.
Its fine where the signal strength is v good, but hopeless elsewhere. I read many reports saying just this, but wanted to try it out myself. Although the touch screen and smooth operation of the iphone is unsurpassed,I'm going back to my LG Cookie until I find a phone which is as good as the iphone,but has the same capability as the LG Cookie to pick up a signal.
What I really can't understand is why Apple failed so miserably to make the phone component of their product as superb as the rest of it.
