It does what it is supposed to

Buying flash memory is hit and miss. I have received items, usually suspiciously cheap, that fall way short of the capacity advertised or are much slower to read-write than they should be. Therefore I am always pleasantly surprised when it does what it is supposed to. This USB flash drive really does have around 128gb of accessible memory and has perfectly useful read-write speeds from the first block to the last. Some flash drives have good speeds when accessing the early blocks but slow down as they fill up. This one doesn't; it remains consistent.

It works reliably

Why not 5 stars? Because I am not that easily amazed but it is better than expected because, compared to those I have had in the past, it connects more reliably (USB A) and has 3 plugs, USB A, C and micro C. I tried plugging the C in my smartphone charging socket and the phone recognised it. I don't have any device to test the micro C so don't know for sure that it works but it probably does.

Oddly enough it's pretty good

I ordered it, then requested a refund because I needed it in a hurry and hadn't noticed that no delivery date was specified. I got the refund and bought a different kind, then decided to check this unbranded one out 'as a matter of interest' because it is very competitively priced and has a good specification. It actually arrived by courier fairly quickly. Well, it has surprised me. I can't comment on its longevity yet but so far it has operated perfectly. It is big enough to froth a mug of milk and I mean FROTH, it cleans up well and has a simple switch mechanism that doesn't seem to worry too much about getting wet when washing it after use. Other branded products have been generally unreliable, although I did eventually get a good Hostess that lasted 3 years,. The VonShef jug is a bit too small to froth much milk and the last one didn't last long until the rather complex multi-press/ hold-down switch became unpredictable, perhaps because it got wet but only on the outside. It's hard to wash things up without coming close to water. So, I have been pleasantly surprised with this frother and do recommend it. If it dies on me tonight I'll kick myself for tempting fate but I am quietly confident that it won't let me down; not yet anyway.
