Design Classic
1 of 1 found this helpful The Mju 300 is almost perfect. 3MP is just about right. You can have prints up to A4 size, without overburdening the computer hard drive with unwanted bytes.
It has an optical viewfinder, so you can compose a scene in bright sunlight. Most modern compacts don't have this facility - it is just too expensive to make. They would rather pretend that you need more pixels!
Picture quality is excellent and if you don't want to bother with the technicalities, you can just point and shoot. But all the important adjustments are available, should you want to use them.
3X optical zoom is good enough for everyday use.
In the hands, it has something of the feel of an early Leica - precise controls, but solid as a tank. The only flaw is the fragility of the clip that holds the memory card cover closed. This cover has to be opened to get access to the USB connection and the securing clip often breaks off. Not a major disaster, because the cover still holds closed, but you can no longer rely on the manufacturers claims that the camera is splash-proof. If you are a real purist, you can buy a replacement cover for about £10.
At around £30 the Mju 300 is worth looking out for on eBay. Get one if you can.
And if you already have one, hang on to it. It is a camera to keep for ever.

No problems over short ramge.
These cheap WiFi adapters work fine. But you may need to find and download the driver if it doesn't come with a disk.
If your house has thick walls or you need to connect over longer distances, you might do better to get one with an antenna.

Small size - works well.
Handy WiFi Repeater that works well and is easy to install.
Many users will need a USB charger to power the device, though you may already have a wall charger in a suitable location.
