Freeze & Leak Detector
Installed eight of these, under sink, wash, basins, toilets and washer. Easy to set up, can asign individual names to them. Can review their status on my phone and have them send alerts for leaks and low temperatures to my phone. I can also have them send alerts to other person's, which is a good idea if I'm not at home. Pleased with this product. Adds a little peace of mind.

Retrofit Chip for older Scalextric cars
This chip when fitted to an older analogue car will give it digital capability. You can race the car with up to five others on a two lane track and be able change lanes using the lane change sections. This chip will fit most of the narrow bodied cars. It can be tricky to fit to some cars because of the configuration of the car itself and may take some modification to the interior of the car to get it to fit in. I have done nine of these so far. You will need to have a fine point soldering iron to install it. You also need a 3mm drill to fit the LED into the bottom of the car. This is a fun thing to do and is rewarding when you complete it and see your older cars being able to race digitally with the newer ones.

Machinery's Handbook Guide
The Machinery's Handbook Guide is a companion book to the Machinery's Handbook. The Handbook and Guide is published approximately every four years or so with updated information, it has been published since 1914 and is a recognized authority for engineers in the manufacturing industries. The guide I am reviewing is the twenty fifth edition.
The book is 249 pages and covers most chapters of the companion "Handbook" where there are tables and formulas. It explains in more detail than the "Handbook" the use of the tables and formulas and gives practical examples of their use.
Subjects covered are gear cutting, tigonometry, speeds and feeds for cutting various materials, shafts and splines, mechanics, as well as strength of materials. There are practical examples of problems encountered in theses areas and it shows the steps for solving them. There is a section at the back of the book which gives the correct answers to these problems.
This is a very handy book and a great addition to the engineer's library or anyone interested in this field of work.
