Soldering iron HP40 from Antex (SP82270)

great iron!

this is a really useful soldering iron. gets to temperature fast and the tip is in some way pre-treated and tins without any problems. small enough for a lot of electronics work with enough heat to overcome troublesome connections like LED modules with heat sinks. Only negative is that the supplied "stand" which is rubbish by comparison. I wish there was a better holding device available .

Well made and tough! Sometimes you may realize that a slower impact rate makes better progress on tough concrete by "blipping" the trigger which has made me consider fitting a speed control so I can tune the rate of impact. It is necessarily quite heavy so using it horizontally into blockwork is tiring and you need to be able to get body weight behind it so that the impacts bottom out on the chisel. The tool comes with three good chisels and the wheeled case is handy for storage. The PPE stuff, goggles, mask and gloves are the cheapest imaginable and went straight in the bin so make sure you have decent PPE apart from these. This in my opinion is a better breaker than the Titan from Screwfix and about £50 cheaper. I recommend this tool.....allow a week for it to be delivered.
