Superb hardware, good, if more expensive, apps but inferior OS to Android.
Purchased this at a great price just after I sold my Motorola Xoom. It was purchased as a test platform for iOS, as I already own a number of Android devices (both phones and tablets) but have never owned an Apple device. All in all, I tend to find that I use this more than my current Android ICS tablet (HP Touchpad with CM9), more due to the hardware than anything else. The hardware is better than any Android tablet I have owned in terms of build quality, display quality and thickness and I do love the concept of the Smart Cover. The software, on the other hand, is of good quality, but tends to be more expensive than the same item in the Android store. The platform is very restrictive compared with Android - it is, for example, exceptionally difficult to copy media to the device (with difficulty you can sync with iTunes, but only on the one PC to which your device is registered!), and I much prefer the Homescreen concept of Android, where you mix widgets and commonly used application shortcuts, than the simplistic list of all applications installed on your device. All in all though, I am pleased with my purchase - the superior hardware makes up for the inferior OS and more expensive App store in my eyes.
