Easy install.

Installing this decoder does require minor modification to give more room for the motor leads, as well as a bit of insulation to the power bus. But the tape is included for that.

I like these old laptops.

I had a good battery that I purchased for another of these laptops that turned out to have other problems. So this worked out well for me. I like that this laptop has a number pad as part of the keyboard.

Double use.

I like that you can use it for both charging a battery, or as a USB power source. The power adapter plugs into the unit, so you can remove it when using it as a USB power pact. This makes the unit the same size as the battery, and the combination is just a taller battery pact. Now if it only had a 12v output as well...
