For welding stainless to mild steel
ER309L was recommended to weld a 24" x 48" stainless 16 gage top to a table made of .120" mild steel square tube. The application of a tack weld every 1" on each section of tube (MIG process) created a quick, solid work table for general mechanic repairs.

Modern alternative to spray paint.
2 of 2 found this helpful Steel-it is my go-to paint for anything offroad. Using it right now to recoat suspension pieces that have years of scratches & dents on my desert truck. Great stuff and a great finished look too!
