From the Agen region but not jumbo
The prunes are rather small. When I have bought these from M and S or Sainsbury for example
they have been large and more succulent. These prunes are cheaper but the old adage comes to mind - you get what you pay for.
I shall be buying elsewhere as soon as they become available again.

Compellimg narrative expectation
I don't usually pick up fiction, but was encouraged by a friend to read this novel.
The author has researched the setting of World War 2 and the German occupation of France
very well - so well I felt the account to be an actual record. The account and background of Hitler Youth is
completely correct - I can personally vouch for that! The truth is there in this book
Well written - apart from the odd Americanism (off of being one irritation) but this is a niggle since generally
the prose is taut though descriptive.
Don't want to spoil the story = just pick it up and you will see the light.
