The best book about modern steam locomotion.
This book is written by diehard steam locomotive engineer David Wardale. It tells in great detail about the improvments he made to two South African steam locomotives, making them pull heavier loads as well as using less fuel and water. The book also tells about his work with the American Coal Enterprises project, and in China. The book is deeply technical, and paints a "warts and all" picture of the last years of steam locomotion in South Africa and China in the last two decades of the 20th century. A unique book, written by a man who believes that steam locomotion can be improved far beyond the results achieved by the last generation of locomotives built in Europe and North America in the 1950's.

Good value
Good value bags for Kirby G3 (and other G-series). Are not HEPA but are so cheap that you can afford to replace well before they are full if dust spreading is a problem.
