THE Book about Sherry
The author is a polymath with 50+ years of interest in and experience of sherry. The book is a dense and scholarly, even lawyerly, overview of the history, viniculture, experience, and culture of sherry and the region from which it comes. Not always the easiest read it is nevertheless the best of the serious introductions to this under-rated drink; complex, not always immediately appealing, but richly rewarding. This is the cheaper 2004 edition and a good s/h alternative to the full-priced latest edition.
