Outhwaites W/Proof Dog Coat Padded Lining - NAVY 35cm/14inch

Great for cats too!

I bought the 14" coat for my elderly Maine Coon cat, who is not allowed out by himself these days due to diabetes and kidney disease. The coat is lightweight, quilted and easy to put on. The Velcro is very "sticky" so it can be a little difficult to take the coat off if your pet is not too steady on their legs. This is not really a problem as I just take hold of the coat with one hand whilst gently trying to pull the Velcro with the other. There is nowhere to attach a lead. I put a Mynwood cat harness over the top of the jacket which works fine, but we just go for short walks around the garden and my cat does not run or pull! I bought this coat as it is windproof, as well as warm. We don't go out in the rain, so I'm afraid I don't know how waterproof it is. I do not use the elasticated straps for the hind legs to go through, so cannot comment on those. However, I can say the coat fits my slim cat very well, and has not been in any danger of coming off, but our walks are very sedate!
