A Souls-like with a twist
1 of 1 found this helpful Nioh plays very much like Dark Souls, however there are more than enough differences that it is easily a game of it's own. It is difficult, there is a Diablo-style loot system, great use of the Japanese theme, and plays very smoothly. The only problem I've had with the game is that some Bosses can be a sudden leap of difficulty and mechanics that you could never really be prepared for, making it highly likely that a new player would die at least once on every boss just to learn to avoid that 'one-shot' ability it uses.
Highly recommended for fans of challenging action RPGs.
