Funny and gripping story
Set in London and Prague in post-war times, written in 1960. This is a compelling read. The main character gets himself into all sorts of difficulties, and it kept me turning the pages to see how he would escape from them. It was so funny in places, it made me laugh aloud.

Good value.
I agree that it does smell plasticky, but that has worn off now.
It does support the elbow. It feels comfortable, but it is nice when I take it off, as it compresses the arm.

Well-written - two convincing inter-woven stories, with historical detail and excitement.
An exciting WW2 spy story, told from the perspective of a mother and a daughter. It keeps you guessing until the end. It tells two stories in parallel, 1939-42 and the present time (which is 1976).
