Liberating for the non-techie in the household
1 of 1 found this helpful In my household we mostly watch satellite TV, but occasionally want to watch a Blu-Ray or something streaming from Roku. It all connects through an A/V receiver. Maybe you're like me: I understand how the various components in our home TV system work together, and what devices have to have what settings to get things to work. But my wife found the whole thing frustrating: "Which remote do I use? Which settings? Inputs, what? I'll just wait 'til my husband gets home." The Harmony Ultimate One lets me define all the devices, and then all the "activities": "Watch Dish", "Watch DVD", "Watch Roku" and even some dinosaurs like audio cassettes, LPs and VHS tapes. Grab the device, choose an activity, and all the right components turn on and go to the right settings.
Caveat: I found the programming (through a free application on a computer) to be straightforward, though my non-techie wife would might have been intimidated by it.

Good little hub
It is as advertised: a 4-port hub with a short cord. I was hoping it would allow me to connect 2 USB devices to my car: a thumb drive for music, and a phone for Apple Carplay. However, Apple Carplay doesn't seem to work through the hub; it gets power but no data. I don't blame this unit though.

Easier than its predecessor
1 of 1 found this helpful Replaed a DVC-150 which presumably still works but doesn't have drivers for Windows 10. Unlike the DVC-150, this unit doesn't need to be plugged into power; it just uses the USB connection. Picture quality is as good as the source tapes I was digitizing from.
