Great product to own. I love it.
I've had my Berkey for 2 years now and love it. I run an Airbnb and all of my guests love it too. The filters do have to be cleaned once a month and if cleaned properly they last a very long time.

Theraplay really works
My son was diagnosed with RAD (Reactive Attachment Disorder) when he was 4. I tried a multitude of therapies over a period of 5 years and none of them worked. I found a Theraplay therapist when he was 9 and saw a change in him in less than a month. The intensity, frequency, and length of the extreme behavior dropped across the board.
Before theraplay I thought my son would grow up to murder someone (or me). I'm not kidding. HIs behavior was really that bad. Within 1 month with a theraplay therapist I had hope for my child. Now 6 years later my son is a healthy well adjusted 15 year old.
He is now such a well adjusted, well behaved, easy going young man you would never know and probably wouldn't believe me that he had RAD. Everything I read said these kids grow up to be criminals, on drugs, on the low end they will have a personality disorder.
I am is awe how much this therapy helped him that I am going to become a theraplay therapist. I cannot wait to begin helping other families in the way I was helped. I can't wait to give them hope where they feel there is none.
In case you think my son didn't have RAD this is what his behaviors used to be: Binging on food to the point of throwing up. He even did this at school so I had to tell the school to put a stop to letting him eat until he threw up. One time they forgot to watch him and it happened again. Food hoarding, wiping his poop all over the wall, punching holes in dry wall, ripping doors off hinges, treating me as if I was his enemy (you understand if you've been there). He thought the wind, table, doors... everything was out to get him and he screamed at the wind one time that if he could catch it he'd kill it. Tormenting animals, temper tantrums that lasted hours. Seriously they lasted hours, multiple times a day almost every single day. He was defiant, labeled with ADHD, ODD etc.
All of these behaviors are gone now.
I asked to school counsellor to rate his behavior recently and he gave him the highest marks for behavior, getting along with adults and other children.
I hope everyone who is dealing with a child with severe behavior issues to find theraplay and have hope again.
