THE SANYO PLC-XW200 PROJECTION WORTH HAVING
Hello review readers, well when it comes to budget projector buying it doesn't get better than this, the Sanyo xga plc-xw200 lcd projector.Sanyo is a well world known electronics company and has also paved its way into commercial cinema with professional 2k(2048/1080) projectors. This model however is a good choice for business presentation, conference rooms, class rooms, and at home.Projection method is 3x 0.6" lcd panels, and with a native resolution of 1024/768 it has a video bandwidth of 140mhz,it also manages a re-size of 1600/1200.Nice clean sharp images can be achieved with 85% screen uniformity, and from the 220 watt uhp lamp a brightness of 2,200 ansi lumens is achieved, and can easily project an image as large as 300",albeit at lower foot lamberts. You may wish to playback a dvd or blu-ray disc,a commercially made(home use only) dvd rom or bd rom,or even a dvd-r and blu ray -r that you may have constructed yourself. You could also obtain a public screening licence from filmbank and hire films from them to play to a paying,or non paying audience.I make my own on a toshiba tecra, and sony vegas pro 11 edit suite, and burn @ 25mbps to blu-ray discs on a plextor blu-ray burner. For screening any of these discs you should first in the menu select wide under screen settings, this will then crop the 4:3 aspect ratio of the projectors throw image, and a 16:9 image or 1.85:1 image can be displayed.Even 21:9 (2.39:1)can be obtained in the same projection throw image, albeit with crop bars top and bottom.Under test my best screen resolution was at its highest when playing a blu-ray connected to the component input via vga d sub-15,and you do not really notice the low contrast ratio which on this is 500:1.///Digital keystone correction is on offer as well as digital zoom, and you should get a 100" diag image from around 11-12ft throw distance. For sound i have an alternative system, but as well as my ears i am using a panasonic blu-ray player,i output via left and right phonos to the inputs (also rca)of a behringer vmx 1000 dj mixer, then xlr output from the mixer to the left and right xlr inputs of a behringer stereo ultramizer. Finally, from the left and right xlr outputs of the ultramizer into an adc 20 band stereo graphic equalizer using phono inputs and outputs.Lastly from the adc via a phono lead into a technics hi-fi component system equipped with a stereo sound graphic/spectrum analyser, and onto stereo three way 200watt rms speakers, there are good results using this system as it is better than the 1 watt mono speaker on the projector itself, even if it is a mixed left and right into one. The projector was first on sale from june 2009 and production ceased in august 2010,but what a machine for £85.I would most probably make the next choice wxga or wuxga @ 1920/1200 or maybe a jvc 4k upscaler, but as a budget projector this will fill a hole.I would recommend watching in complete darkness.I'm going off to watch netflix, happy viewing.

    Fujifilm DVD-RW Blank DVDs - 4.7GB - Upto 2x Speed - Jewel Case - 5 Pack

Excellent DVD-RW Disc Pack, high quality package with great burning results.
I decided to have a scoot around on Ebay to see what DVD-RW Disc's were available.Having made a few comparisons i opted for the Fujifilm Brand name and the packaging is very pretty with their logo. The end result is very good, particularly when making a sample down from Full HD..or even 4K. 120MINS (2HRS) is available per disc, but try not to exceed 4.7GB or your file will not fit. So overall a spectacular SD format to record and re record onto, with quality playback.
Box of 10 Blank VHS Video Cassettes Tapes SONY SP KSP U-matic 30 Unused Sealed

    Umatic KSP - 20
This is a good product , and although now a vintage one with associated equipment being a museum piece, it's still workable . Particularly when it comes to transferring to a digital medium, like DVD and other formats. The Umatic format saw heavy use between 1971 and 2002 particularly within the television broadcast industry, due to the fact that the format and its associated equipment was very robust. It almost was a consumer format instead of Sonys Betamax and JVC's VHS (Video Home Systems). The camera tapes were essentially the same tape but in a smaller cassette shell, as opposed to the Cassettes found in the stand alone decks which are of the larger variety shell ,.. examples of which i have purchased here. There is Low band and High band in the small and large cassettes, here i purchased the High band variety. Umatic or Umatic SP. Umatic has a horizontal resolution not that dissimilar to VHS, however Umatic SP has a horizontal rezolution of 330 lines and this is due to an increased bandwidth an some fiddling about by Sony Technicians. Broadcast programme material was often taped onto the SP version in large variation so it could be played and aired to our sets. College students,Amateur filmmakers and people just wanting a play about also enjoyed using the format.I would recommend anyone trying these out, and a particularly good holding is possible when you consider that these days the initial camera resolution comes in from a great height, so image quality is going to show even better than ever.
