I am a self taught artist living on the island of Molokai in Hawaii. I have sold many of my paintings in galleries and online. When painting, I feel connected to a power greater than myself. I find the world to be a beautiful place and enjoy sharing my vision of beauty and connection with others
The technique used for these paintings is called Watercolor Batik. I paint on rice paper with professional grade watercolors and use paraffin wax to create texture. Because some of the wax remains in the paper, the painting is durable, somewhat like fabric. The works have a distressed, vintage like feel. The edges are deckled.
The paintings are sold unframed and will be sent to you well protected in a cardboard mailing tube.
Please message me if you have questions. Thank you for your interest!
