not great
dries out the beard and dulls it
doesn't create salt and pepper look

Rico Grand Concert reeds. who knew?
never knew these existed, tried these for the first time on alto, soprano, and sopranino (Eb clarinet reeds) and liked them better at. #2.5 strength on all than my previous use of #3 VanDoren Eb clarinet, #2.5 VanDoren Green or #3 Rico alto, and #3 Rico Royal soprano.

almost great
It looks great and the coffee is less bitter but you need to use more than usual for full taste-even the scoop they provide is a bit larger than usual. they recommend a slightly finer grind than standard so it's best not to buy standard drip grind-grind whole beans.
It takes a full 6 minutes but gives 3 beeps when done, which is convenient so you can do other things, then pour coffee at the perfect moment when you hear the beeps.
One thing i don't like is that the standard #4 cone filter has to be pressed way down to clear the swing pattern pattern of the cone holder, so sometimes if not perfect the cone gets a little squished or worse yet, folds over the grounds and you get a very weak pot, you then have to do a manual pour-over for full strength.
