The DVD will always last longer than the VCR

I bought my first Hitachi when Hitachi were still making them, and I've never found a better machine for myself as far as DVDs go. The VCR element always stops working long before the DVD, but that's okay in the present era, isn't it? I have one of these in each of the bedrooms so that I can get comfy with what I'm watching, or recording, and the discs can be used in any of the machines as they're all interchangeable. I'm still sorry that Hitachi quit making these, as they're great machines. This one will even accept a dodgy range from Sainsburys, which the other machines refuse completely.

So glad I found it! Scavenger Hunt!

I saw this movie when it first came out all those years ago, and it stands up to the test of time. It's very funny, a 'whole family' kind of film that everyone can enjoy without being embarrassed. I had to wait on my review as I live in England, my multi-regional had sound issues with it, but I found that to be my machine and not the disc. So, with that in mind, I can tell you that this is a great movie, the sound is fine, and it's a joy to have it in my collection.

Excellent product at a great price

Here's the kind of luck I have: I moved and lost my remote, which is not uncommon. Then I finally get this ordered and it works and I'm happy and then the stupid machine quits working. Well, that went into the shop and it's still there. But the remote does work, it was a good price, and if the machine cannot be saved I won't be buying another one to fit the remote. I'm not that nuts.
