Geocaching with the Explorist 500 GPSr
I bought the Magellan Explorist 500 off of ebay refurbished and have been very pleased with it. The benefits I see are good detail on the color screen, great click stick, ease of use, manages both geocaches and tracks quite well, good map screen customization options, easy pc connectivity and the SD card expandability. The downfalls I see are that the backlight cannot be turned off, only down, it takes a special battery as opposed to AA or AAAs and the file structure for switching between the SD Card and internal memory takes a little getting used to. Overall I have been very pleased with the unit and think the positives greatly outweigh the negatives. Battery life is good, logging in at about 12-14 hours depending on how much button clicking you are doing. I'm using a Kingston 1 Gig SD Card in my unit and it is working great. It will hold more waypoints or maps then you would probably ever need on there. The 32 Megs of internal memory alone will hold a good number of way points. Overall I would say this is a great unit. Easy to use, lots of funtionality and can be found at bargain prices.

Great Wedges
I bought these in a set of three, 52-56-60, and love them. Previously I was playing Titleist Vokey wedges. They had worn down and as much as I loved those I couldn't turn down the deal I got on these. The CG11s don't go quite as far as the Vokies but they go high and land very soft. They also have great grooves allowing you to put some real spin on the ball if you so choose. The only reason I didn't rate these clubs as excellent is because the black pearl finish does wear very quickly. It doesn't affect the play of the club at all, they just little scuffed up after a few uses. Would highly recommend these clubs to anyone.
