Yes, its good!!
Best ADSL2+ router I could find. Also works with direct internet connection... but here in Aus, ADSL2+ is still a popular option until the National Broadband Network is scaled out to all homes. ADSL2+ not too popular in many other countries, so its difficult to find top notch new tech.
AC5300 is great! Easy to set up, plus 6 x 1Gig ethernet connections. With 2 x 5g wifi radios, I have dedicated one 5g network as a backhaul direct to my extender. I have a new extender on the way (Netgear EX8000, AC3000) which should make the backhaul reach top speed... faster than the ADSL2+ connection itself!
So, I am 100% happy with the Netgear D8500 router. Strongly recommend.... price is worth it if you have a complex home environment.
