Great organic and versatile tube amp tones. A bit pricey.
Having heard an Ampeg V4B close up I knew I had to get that sound. However, my budget doesn't stretch to Ampeg gear, and I'm not that keen on heavy fragile tube bass amps. I don't like standard bass overdrive /distortions - they just mess up my tone and sound nothing like a real amp. The Sansamp VT is just the job. Anywhere from thumpy Motown to full on grind this box does it. I use it mainly as an add on, but a lot of people have their's on all the time. I have it set up to give an Entwistle/Stranglers/Jam/pub-rock tone. I got this to replace a Behringer BDI21, which is basically a Sansamp rip-off. The construction of the Behringer is very similar and it was a quarter of the price of the Sansamp. However, the Sansamp sounds noticeably more 3 dimensional. The Behringer sounds a bit flat in comparison, (still not too bad though - great for the money). The Sansamp VT seems like a lot of money for basically a box and a few components, but it will give you a wide range of organic tube amp tones. Nothing else sounds like this short of a real proper tube bass amp.

A SET OF 15 RUBBER DRIVE BELTS FOR SONY WALKMAN / CASSETTE DECKS Brand New

Exactly what I needed
Reviving a classic old Sony Walkman - once I'd worked out which belts to use, they worked fine. Now I've got enough left over to fix a couple of music centres!
Maida Vale MVB-1P Low Rider P-Bass Pickup Alnico 4 (A4) 4 Conductor

Superb P-Bass pickup
Just installed the Maida Vale P-Bass pickup into an ancient Washburn Force 8 (1982). Fitted it inside the original covers, so it still looks original. The stock pickup was a rather anaemic copy of a Dimarzio, and sounded thin and sterile, (and also one half had shorted-out). The Maida Vale by comparison sounds exactly like a good P-bass should - warm, with a good amount of growl, and still cuts through. Very good pickup, for a very good price. Just bought another and a set of their Start pickups. Cheers!
