It is not a soft close friction hinge
The hinge is riveted together, there is no friction. The two arms are free to move. There is a basic stay mechanism, a sprung ball bearing that goes into a notch to keep the hinge open, but it is very weak. I can't see this hinge having any applications.

Cut through the exhaust with ease
1 of 1 found this helpful Makes a nice clean cut to the exhaust, great when space is limited. It can be a little fiddly to clip the chain into the pliers, but that's to be expected when working in cramped conditions under a car! Personally, I used a liberal amount of WD40 as a cutting fluid to help it cut through the metal and protect the cutting wheels. I only squeezed gently when using them, again to protect the cutting wheels and it cut through the exhaust in a few minutes.
