Classic 28mm lens
This old classic lens is as sharp as the newer Nikkor offering in 28mm. It is probably Nikkor's sharpest wide angle lens. I've read nothing but good things about it so bought one. It did not disappoint.
It is dangerously sharp at f5.6 at close to medium distances making it a great indoor or street lens.
However using it for distant landscapes there is some fall off in sharpness.
All in all this is one of Nikkor's best AI - AI-s lenses.

No need for the D610, D750, D810

No need for more than 12 megapixels unless you crop a lot. Until technology takes a leaping bound this classic DSLR will continue to deliver professional grade images.
