Detailed instructions for many projects using live as well as dried plants and materials.

This book is a good starter book for beginners but contains enough variety that even someone experienced in topiary would enjoy the different projects offered. It covers a wide range of topiary; from how to use live plants to creating faux displays. Contains lots of detailed photos and gives good instructions. Offers examples on how to choose the right container and gives information on the various plants, including specifics on care and what they will require in the way of sunlight and water. This will be a good reference book that I will turn to for instruction and ideas for different occasions over the years.

Enjoy the Disc World books, still reading my way thru them, but really recommend the ones with Tiffany Aching. Granny Weatherwax is another compelling character.

Fantasy beings come to life!

I'm new to this medium and found this to be a very informative book. It's multi dimensional, beginning with the best materials to get you started and the techniques to use for magical effects. Then moving on to the lands, worlds and realms of mystical creatures, bringing these images to life through use of movement, adornment and surroundings. I expect to get a lot out of this!
