Replacement Record Stylus Needle for SONY ND.150G, XL150
I bought a secondhand Sony PS-LX2 turntable on here and the stylus perished before I'd even got it home! I ordered this replacement and hoped for the best. I needn't have worried. It was easy to install and sounds fantastic.
Although it does not have the model number printed on the plastic as the original Sony one did, it is the right model. The plastic is very flimsy so be careful when installing. Otherwise, brilliant! Highly recommended - just make sure you're buying the right stylus for your model turntable before ordering.

A classic 1990s heavy album
I first heard Hangnail on their cassette demo in 1998, and I was a fan straight away. When I found out they had been signed to a label and released an album, I had to have it. They mixed the powerful melodic vocals of then current bands such as Soundgarden and Kyuss with the heavy riffs and grooves of Led Zepplin and Sabbath. All the while they maintained their own unique sound.
I found this CD here on Ebay and bought it for a bargain price to replace my old copy.
I would recommend this to any Doom / "Stoner," and heavy rock music fan. It's deleted now but you can find it here on Ebay if you bother to look. I would also heartily recommend their second and final CD, Clouds In The Head, which is also on Rise Above Records. I'm sure it will turn up on here.
Hangnail singer / guitarist Harry can now been seen / heard with his current band End of Level Boss, which is a little bit heavier but just as melodic and wierd.

Earthride Taming of The Demons CD 2002
This is the second full length album from the band featuring ex- Wretched and Spirit Caravan member Dave Sherman on vocals. I first heard Earthride a couple of years ago but only just got round to getting their albums after hearing the reissue of their self title debut.
This CD expands on their first release with more varied arrangments and more accomplished guitar work and melodies. Dave Sherman's vocals sound a lot like Lemmy from Motorhead, albeit with an American accent.
I like the way the band switches from mid-paced Spirit Caravan style grooves to uptempo Motorhead rocking and back again. This adds real variety to the songs. All this CD does is take the concepts of the original to further extremes, but seems to have a much smoother production, courtesy of Maryland Doom legend Chris Kozlowski. This was recorded at the legendary Polar Bear Lair studio in MD where he does his most famous work. This will grow on you in time believe me.
Like most Doom / Metal albums you feel a bit let down on first listen. It takes a couple of plays to get used to the songs and the vibe but you will find youself singing the chorus of Under A Black Cloud under your breath around the house or at work for example. That's the moment when Earthride's subtle, apparently simple songwriting skills have hooked you!
The vocals may put some people off, especially if they prefer an Ozzy or Bobby Liebling / Wino style approach. But these guys religiously use MATAMP and Orange valve amps and Gibson guitars. This gives the band a collosal, authentic grass roots sound that you simple will not hear in the mainstream.
Their epoynmous debut has just been re-released on beautiful 10" vinyl, and their third CD Vampire Circus is out now. My advice is start with the limited edition 10" (While you can!), then move onto this and listen to them inorder. After a few weeks driving with this on your car stereo, you will be aching to hear the band crank these tracks out live.
There is little I can say against them, I've warned you about the gravelly Lemmy - esque vocals. The final good point thugh is you can get this for less than £10 brand new right here on Ebay!
A really awesome band!
