I think this film is UTTERLY fantastic! i've loved it since i first saw it when it came out, and i still love it now.
Nobody is too old for this film.
Its sweet, makes you think about your morals and hilarious.
Some of the best lines i have ever heard are in this film. Would recommend it to ALL.

One in a million.
Donnie Darko is the first of its kind and i can honestly say that i have never seen another film like it.
Its deep atmosphere while being humourous is wonderful, and the issues raised are so profound and utterly bewildering that it leaves you genuinley deep in thought.
i adore the narrative of this film, as it mixes the out of the ordinary with regular conversations which would never usually be put into a film, but give it one hell of an edge.
You feel for donnie darko, you understand him. You have no idea what its like to go through what he is, but in a way you want to. Apart from his link with "frank" and the strange loopholes in time, he is just another troubled teen that speaks his mind. However, his opinions are the ones we all think, but never say, making you love him so much more.
His relationship with his girlfriend isnt romanticized, in fact it is played down, but it seems the most real and loving out of any relationship i have seen in the media.
My favourite scene in the film is the Love or Fear discussion, where donnie speaks his mind into the microphone for the rest of the school to hear, its hilarious, blunt, and reflects the way most teens think.
all in all, one of the most heart warming, tear jerking, thought inspiring films i have ever watched. 10 out of 10, A*'s all round.
