Henry's ladder extension
I seem to live in a part of the Country where all the "builders" seem to be direct descendants of Corsican bandits, and after receiving several outrageous quotes to re-butter six ridge tiles on a two story up and over cottage roof, it seemed to be that the only course, although I am well into my 70's, was to do the job myself and bought from Ebay a roof ladder etc, together with this ladder extension together with the excellent ladder clamp. Which expense still forms a fraction of what these "builders" would have charged me,
In this, however, I bought this extension not for it's stated purpose, but to use as a bottom roof ladder extension for clamping with the clamp as mentioned to the actual roof ladder and as a top handhold on the bottom ladder. For my purposes it serves this purpose exactly. The fixing is well welded with a very good two screw clamping system and I have no doubt that it would serve as a solid top ladder handhold equally well.
It may seem, on first sight, to be rather expensive for a metre or so of ladder rail but I suppose that is relative to how you value your safety. End verdict: Recommended if you have a use for it. As secondary to the ladder clamping system from the same seller forming a kit I am most happy and it is in use now.

This, of course, is not the genuine item, but a crude copy. The video is genuine and a few minutes viewing this will show you that the gaff supplied with this item differs greatly from the one shown in the video.
The supplied gaff has been crudely made, the method used to make the copy renders it unuseable and you will not be able to perform any of the moves shown in the video with this gaff.
The supplied item looks like it has been through the washing machine a few times and is very wrinkled and bumpy. the mechanism within the gaff makes very noticeable lumps in the gaff which are not there in the genuine item, and because a different way of achieving the effects with the gaff has been used the gaff cannot perform either the colour change or be signed on because the lumps in the gaff will immediately force the sharpie to "skip" over the surface of the signed card used in the performance making it very obvious that there is something amiss since button magnets have been used instead of shims.
Best stay away from this one and buy the genuine item!

Whatever happened to Vernet?
This pull is largely an item from pretty well bygone days of vanishing silks etc. It would be too noisy for coins . I do not consider it in any way a "Universal Pull" unless you can call a small, not very durable plastic cone and a lump of black elastic and fishing line with a safety pin on the other end "Universal". It is not even magnetic. The "Lid" is ill fitting and flimsy with what will be a short life in use.
There are many reports on the net about this item breaking prematurely with regard to the "cone".
Vernet, having once been a respected name is now evidently reduced to marketing this sort of pelt along with a very crude domino monte, the quality of which is also most obviously produced to a price. I do not consider this to be worth the cost, probably half of what this is selling for would be more realistic. In conclusion, If you are a Childrens entertainer you could probably find a use for this item, otherwise don't bother, It would not fool a ten year old.
