Beautifully haunting recording
1 of 1 found this helpful I first became aware of this piece of music from watching the 'Illusionist' I was surprised when I found out the music from the film was Phillip Glass.
It's a beautifully haunting set and the violin concerto evokes sadness and emotion. It sings and creates a strange visual feeling.
The product is great

Hard to believe it wasn't written last year
A disturbing picture of how easily oppressed workers accept abject poverty seemingly happy to know they are making their masters rich. Only an enlightened few can lay the blame of their horrendous circumstances of exceedingly long and arduous working conditions with a reward of abject poverty on the system.
Instead just like today all blame is laid upon "the foreigners" and those lazy people who don't work hard enough. And like today there is a suspicion of any 'socialist types' who would dare to want to change the current situation of actual and hopeless near poverty for the many; situated next to the mind boggling wealth of the few.
Not the best written book in the world and can be hard going but it describes in a sometimes harrowingly real way whilst maintaining a light hearted feel. It does also in a Dickens fashion allow you to get to know and have some affection and empathy for some of the characters.
The subject matter though is disturbingly relevant to today's Britain

Arrived quickly they were the best priced ones I could find but still pretty strong and easily stackable.
