Elegant design with clearly displayed control panel
Elegant design, sturdy glass base, simple to assemble, simple and straightforward to operate with clear display and a battery operated remote for further ease of use, if required.

Perfect replacement for the original manufacturer supplied product
The original blue, two pin, coiled power cord supplied with my Philips Philishave Speed XL electric shaver on purchase many years ago has deteriorated, and the blue protective cover wrapped around the wires has separated in several places throughout its length, so exposing the wires within. Unable to source another genuine Philishave blue coiled power cord, (my preferred choice as this would have comfortably fitted inside the shaver travel case as an exact replacement of the original), I settled for this item. It is a genuine Philips product and perfectly adequate for my purposes. The only slight drawback is that this lead has a UK mains 3 pin plug, as opposed to the original two pin, so has to be used in a 3 pin socket or used with a two pin adaptor plug. However, I actually take significant comfort in this because I see that many, if not all, of the replacement two pin power cords advertised are fitted with the thinner European two pins, and not the thicker and more robust UK two pins version.
