Partial success
1 of 1 found this helpful The cleaner arrived quickly despite the Christmas confusion. Tried it on my DVD player which would no longer recognize a disc...............didn't make any difference, so something major wrong inside I guess. Tried it on my CD player and a combination of using the cleaning disc, and using the cleaner fluid on the actual CD has certainly improved it (no more skipping).
For its price I would say it was worth a go before you take your old player to the recycling centre!
