6 Year Old Technology Over Priced
This is my 3rd Teradek product and I've wasted over 24 hours on it plus Teradek's support has wasted over 6 hours trying to get the WiFi working and stay working.
As per the own words of the Tech "He hates working on these old slow beasts" this unit is grossly over priced considering it is technology that is over 6 years old, it's single processor struggles to handle all the firmware updates and API requirements of YouTube, Facebook, Ustream and Twitch.
The new Vidiu Pro is much faster unit and more powerful but lacks the WiFi power because of the internal small 2db antennas.
Now if you are streaming with the Cube 255 over Ethernet it will do the job no problem 1080P clear and solid, but the machine takes absolutely forever to boot up.
Spend the money and get the Cube 655, it's brand new 2016 tech, dual processors, boots up in seconds not 10 minutes and the WiFi chip is head and shoulders above the Cube 255.
This is from my actual experience streaming live on YouTube for a living not a hobby....

Reality Show On YouTube
I've been using this model of mic on YouTube since September 2013 in all kinds of sever weather conditions -30°C to +35°C, even damp locations but be care to not get it wet.
the dead kitten does help direct rain hit the mic but no good if dead kitten gets soaked.
the sound is amazing, true HD stereo and next to no wind noise even standing on the side of windy lake which I do many times a week.
I've picked up wild life sounds at the swamp as far as 900 feet away, amazing piece of equipment,
and if you register it with RODE you get a 10 year warranty.
I've now equipped all my cameras with it, so far I own 5 of them

Blinding bright, a lot of waste
Crazy bright burning rods, I've bought both the 1/16" and 5/64" from this company and the first 3-4 inches of the rods burn so bright and hot you can't see anything, once your burn off the beginning of the rods they weld great, so a lot of waste really. Sometimes they burn so hot and bright it destroys what you are trying to weld, and considering you buy these thin rods to weld thin material makes it more difficult not to burn through. The only way to get them to burn normal and not blind you while you are welding is to cut off the first 3-4 inches and throw it away. Another problem we are having is re-arcing, you can't get an easy restart the coating covers the electrode and you have hit it really hard on a surface or cut it off to get clean restarts, absolutely brutal welding rods...
