A world more comfortable
I love my new seat. I don’t get the tailbone pain I got on the squishy, convex stock seat. It’s well made, the firmness is perfect. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the fit on the bike. I’m certain I have the correct model, and it looks in theory like it should just slide on, but the tongues under the front of the seat meant to slot in around the fuel line on the back of the tank are ever so slightly too thick. I couldn’t get them to seat properly without shaving the plastic to make the aperture wider around the fuel line. It’s still not perfect but I didn’t want to shave it down any more. Granted, I didn’t have to shave off much, and it LOOKS like it should have just fit in there but it just didn’t. I had to give it a reasonable shove to get it to seat where it should before shaving down the tongues underneath and the pillion handles ever so slightly tore the back corners of the seat covering, which is a bummer. My tank is stock. Apart from that tiny thing, it was all swiftly forgotten because it’s all otherwise first rate comfort!
