Very nice adaptable rod, WARNING be careful not to push the sections together too hard
I haven't used it yet but it does look and feel V nice and am looking forward to giving it a try. I like the fact that it can be changed in length from a handy 8' stalking rod to a 10' length just by adding in an extension section.
one word of warning, The rod sections fit together using spigot joints, these are great but beware!! DO NOT be tempted to push the sections together too hard. Note the female part of the joint does not slide over the full length of the male part (the nice painted finish of the female part does not fully cover the bare carbon male part so does not meet up with the painted section on the male part) dont be tempted to push the sections harder thinking the painted parts need to meet up (they dont!). If you try to force the sections together with a bit more oomph, they will stick and you may not get them apart.
Unfortunately I did this (assuming the male part would fully cover) and tried everything (including pliers) to split the sections after being stuck and still couldn't separate them. I ended up sending the stuck sections back to the manufacturer but they couldn't split them either, they were very good and offered me a replacement. Having got a new rod and knowing the above I find pushing the sections together till they stop (with no extra force is good enough ), note I have added a thin film of grease to the male parts just in case to ease separation.
All in all, now I know the above, I would say its a very nice rod.

ML270 fuel pump repair
1 of 1 found this helpful Used this to fix the common fuel weeping head on the diesel high Pressure fuel pump of my Mercedes ML270.
Been fitted 6 weeks now and no leaks and working well. Do plenty of internet research on how to do the job, and be careful. Ensure all corrosion on mating surfaces are skimmed down (with wet and dry, clean thoroughly!!!).
Fiddly job but straight forward and the seal kit so far so good for what seems to be a very common problem.
