If you are buying as a gift, don't bother
Sure, I know you get what you pay for but truthfully it's overwhelming on eBay when you are looking to buy a personalised mug as a gift for someone. All the listings are the same, but the prices are all different so you can't help asking yourself "why would I pay more than I need too?" right?
Well that's what I did here, this was not the cheapest place but it was £4 - 5 cheaper than what some of the other sellers were offering. I looked up the seller and their profile and there was nothing that alarmed me about them as a seller, and in fact when I saw that they were an actual print shop business as opposed to just some Larry selling them as a hobby in his spare time, i thought "great, saved yourself a few quid there".
Sadly that wasn't the case. Let's start with box. It was a mug box, but what on earth had he done with it? It was mangled and split and then parcel taped back together, it was also swollen as if the mug was too big for the box. "It's fine, I thought, I won't give the actual box as a gift so as long as it's not damaged, it's fine", and it was inside, fine in that respect.
The only thing was, the lovely photo that I'd spent time preparing and sent over was all washed out with what I can only explain as an 'orange' photo filter over it. My poor beautiful daughters and niece looked like they had some sort of illness to them. Second to that the alignment of the picture was out, the top of the picture was right at the top of the rim of the mug, leaving a huge weird white gap at the bottom of the mug.
"I can't give that as a gift, I thought", so I popped the seller a nice message, very polite and honest of the situation that it was a gift etc. I also checked that it was not an issue on my part with the image I'd provided. I'd knocked it up in RGB colour and I know sometimes CMYK translations don't quite come through the same depending on the program the printer uses, but it was all ok actually. I offered to send him the image in a different format, or even darken it a bit off it was an offset issue on the digital-to-print transfer (again this has happened before so knew it could have been an unintentional mistake). I also offered to adjust the mug dimensions too to compensate for any differences to his setup than what I've had printed previously elsewhere. It was just a copy of the same template I'd used after all, a format I've used many times and I've never had issues with.
The seller's response to my nice, well addressed and helpful email was: "Hi, please send image again.".
Right. Adjusted? not adjusted? CMYK? RGB? What works? Should I just send the original again? No that was it "Please send image again".
So I did, I simply send him back the same image, and waited.
... and waited
... and waited.
I got nothing back from him, not a peep. I didn't know whether to expect another item, to expect a refund, to return the old one or anything.
So I messaged him again a few days later, I appreciate people are busy so I gave him the benefit of the doubt, and I asked him what was happening with the item. Had he reviewed the artwork, is he refunding, reprinting, anything?
I got nothing.
So anyway the birthday came and went and I'm still left wondering whether his guy has actually done anything with this.
How should it be possible for someone to be so s**t at what they do and still be allowed to make money from it? I can't pick out one single thing that I liked about this experience. So I write this review as a recommendation to anyone looking to buy a custom or personalised mug on eBay, stay away. Even if you don't like the person your buying it from, don't give this seller the satisfaction of a sale.

Great entry level mixer, cool design too!
I bought this as a gift for a baking newbie. I wasn't against spending more for a Kenwood Chef but when I saw the style of this I loved it and knew it be well received.
I considered that the quality might not be as good as the price was lower but actually it's a pretty decent mixer for the money!
I'd recommend

Great book, especially for design lovers and designers!!
If you love design, or know a friend who does and also loves Star Wars then this book is a must buy. I'd seen this book in W H Smiths in non-hardback format for £7 and I wish I'd have picked it up as it was a much bigger book than this Hardback one was, I think if I'd have known this book was as small as it was then I would have kept looking but, it's not that much of an issue. For the record, this one is about an A5 in size and the other was nearer A4 but squared (not a big size connoisseur lol).
Great book though :)
