Good Kitchen Speech Radio With A Longer Aerial

My JL&P Spectrum Solo Gold radio is not at all rubbery but smooth matt metallic-like - better than expected. It is very well built except for the battery compartment cover which is flimsy at the catch and likely to break at some frequent use point due to the cover being overly hard to remove. The sound and reception initially was a disappointment, but after changing the puny aerial for a longer one (I salvaged from an expired AM/FM unit) it is now totally satisfactory for it's intended use in my kitchen for speech-based radio. Sound is now stable, clear, crisp and ample.

Cheerful magnets for easy pinning and removing

Happily reminiscent of my Dad's corkboard pins, these larger-size magnet 'pins' do the job of pinning single sheets of paper and notes on my filing cabinet well enough. They are not very strong magnets and not designed for hanging anything from. I like the colours and how easy they are to move around.

Excellent value functional durable-feeling item

Much more rigid than the dearer cheapest plastic alternatives available in the high street and of more recyclable material. Strong clip too. Excellent value functional accessory bought for writing on the sofa. Very encouraged now to go for A5 and A3 alternatives for the kitchen and artwork.
