Best Small Budget Motherboard

This is the third Intel DQ45CB I've bought paired with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor to build a budget gaming system. The small form factor means it'll fit in just about any case except micro-ATX-only cases. With proper dual-channel memory support it's possible to get excellent memory performance by filling all four slots, e.g., 4 x 1GB, or 4 x 2GB. The Core 2 Duo processors have plenty of grunt for all but the very latest DirectX 12 games, but as I'm building budget gaming systems this is fine. I usually pair with something like a Radeon R7 260X graphics card and a 60 or 120GB SSD running Windows 10 64-bit. Everything ticks along very nicely with games like Minecraft staying well about 100 FPS even on all the highest video settings. Would obviously struggle with the very latest high-end games but for around £20 with a processor this is a total bargain.
