Bring a sad and tired car back to new condition.
This is just what I needed to fix up a sorry looking car that arrived without these parts To fit them you will need to chase through the various securing holes with some small drills. These will help remove any debris left behind by the parts that were originally fitted and broken off. Once fitted, your AutoArt car will look as complete and good as it was when new!

Drive axles for Life-Like Proto series
I kept seeing Life-Like Proto series locos on eBay at low prices. These were all described as working but making a clicking sound when they ran. The good Folks on Tyco Forum explained that it was because the original gears had split, but went on to let me know that these Athearn parts were a ‘like fir like’ replacement. I watched a video on YouTube that showed me how, bought a couple of faulty locos from eBay in the UK where I live,and two sets of these gears from Canada. Postage was really reasonable. They were easily fitted although you do need to use a fair amount of force to get the stub axles to push into the sleeve axles on the gears. Tip here - make sure the back to back measurements you end up with match the original and ensure that the wheels do not bind with the motor block frames on either side. Lubricate and test and your loco will be Born Again! Good for another 25 years! Great product, great value. Cheap postage - even to Britain! James
