Harmonica Mouth Organ Holder Spring Bar Clamp Hands Free Neck Brace Playing BNIB
12 Oct, 2016
Harmonica holder
No frills harmonica holder that can be used by both beginner and expert harp players ! Simple, spring-loaded clamp design ensures this works with most sizes of harmonica. It is a two-handed operation to swap out harps (e.g. to play in another key) but with a bit of practice this wouldn't take long at all. Simply hang round your neck, adjust and tighten the two locking nuts and away you go ! The neck support could be a little more comfier (e.g. broader or more padding) but at the price it's more than up to the job. Folds (almost) flat for storage or travel. Light-weight but not too flimsy, would probably withstand repeated dropping without a problem. With a bit of care it will probably last many years !
RSPB Birds of Britain & Europe by Rob Hume 9781409344308 (Paperback, 2014)

A "must have" for the collection
A bird book for both novice and expert alike ! Very comprehensive, with clear, detailed photos rather than illustrations and with each bird/species having a separate page for itself there's no shortage of information provided. The book is A5 sized and the layout is both logical and intuitive even for someone with no previous birding experience. This definitely is a reference book to enjoy curled up by the fire, with excellent colour reproduction and interesting descriptions. I'd be very reluctant to take this out in the field on a wet, damp day preferring to "sacrifice! something a little bit slimmer or less impressive. Plus, there's quite a bit of weight behind this small volume indicating both quantity (almost 500 pages) and quality (glossy pages). The only concern I have relates to the spine. I don't know how these things are produced but whenever I randomly open a page I get the impression that if I were to do it frequently on the same page then the page itself may come loose. I hope I'm wrong as loose leaves would really spoil the book, but for now I'm opening and turning pages with care. That aside, this is an excellent reference book for the price but if you can shop around and get it for anything less than RRP you'll be even more chuffed !
