check inside before fitting
Original equipment is always better, BUT make sure you take it apart and inspect the PCB inside for damage before fitting as these suffer really badly with water damage from condensation over the years. If it's good then seal the PCB by covering it in silicone.

great original fit
I used this cap on my '86 fiesta. Previous after-market caps had suffered with build up around the contacts. But the contacts in this one are not moulded into the wall, but are in free air, which seems to have lessened the problem. Also being a lucas part, I am hoping for a much longer life then the year or so that others have given me
