Motorcycle heavy duty ratchet straps
The straps arrived well packaged. The item is described as Heavy duty and i use straps for my business. I compare these to a Halfords blue rachet straps which have a 3mm thick strap that has minimal stretch when loaded and gives a reasuring tort feel once a motorcycle is held in place. These have the following issues: 1, ratchet looks heavy duty, but the have a "loose" sound to them when not loaded, like the tollerances between components are bigger than halfords. But they have a professional looking rubber grip coating to the lever. But i am not confident to the longevity of them beyond 12months of use(my hafords two have lasted 4 years, before ratchet failed on one. 2. Straps are about 2.5-30mm wide but only about 1mm thick. This means they stretch badly when securing a motorcycle,as theyre using the same material on Earlier cheap sets i bought. Even when you feel like the ratchet wont tighten any more the strap still flexes, making you concerned as to A. Will the machine move B. If i tighten more will the strap/ratchet or hook fail, especially in transit This strap material frays easily, gets nicks easliy and expierence of this materal is that they are prone to suddenly snap and fail in transit 3. The hooks. Halfords ones are about 4mm thick with a thick plastic coating These are about half that. The plastic coating will break off as the hooks bend when ratcheting up or during transit as load trys to shift these become bent out of shape with in days of use. Im not promoting Halfords here as thier straps i think are pricey, but they are the bench mark as i bought these as described as Heavy duty. I think theyre fine for strapping light items to, such as bicycles, household furniture and maybe appliance like a washing maching.. but not heavy duty enough for strapping a 125cc or larger motorcycle with peace of mind

US PRO Fantastic value for the home mechanic( used by a mobile mechanic)
US Pro, Neilson or Berger make the same quality of tools and i find them suitable for every day use as a mobile motorcycle mechanic. The last 1/4 set i have replaced after 8 years because the inner tray and box is so battered, it doesnt give the impression i want to project ( tidy tools- tidy work). But all the components of the tool box work perfectly fine. Im sure that this new set will provide equal service. the plastic tray tends to break up after about 3 years of continued use and the hinge pins can also wear out, so i replace them with small nut and bolt. the box is good , but the catch can wear out and the box itself wont handle numerous accidents( mins would sometimes fall off its shelf in the back of the van at a height of about 3-4 foot. But steel is malleable enough to bend back into shape. Overall the tool set is fantastic value, about £10 for a tool set that used for professional purposes for the last 8 years, so should last the Home mechanic possibly decades.

First time buyer
Very happy with the product, but i did have an issue as a first time buyer trying to work out how the pages arnt meant to be aligned for duplicating. After hours of faffing, it turned out the un marked first sheet isnt to be used. Remove that and then all following pairs work.
