    Hmmmm.....not too bad....
If you love blood and guts watch this - if you want a film with an ending and plausible plot to explain the bizarre goings on aboard the 'ghost' ship (for that read gore ship) then forget it and watch something else. The opening scenes aboard the cruise ship set the pace of the movie - spectacular effects and blood by the tanker load, but nothing else.

    LOVED IT!!
If you like quirky stories with a lot of laughs, poignant moments and a feel good ending then this is the film for you. I loved it to bits and have watched it whenever I feel down. Based on a true story I wasn't overly sure what to expect - but I was most certainly not disappointed. Joel Edgerton (the lovely Gawain from 'King Arthur') and Chiwetel Ejiofor (the murderous Operative in 'Serenity') outshine everyone else on screen as Charlie and Lola respectively. If you don't see another film this year, see this one - you won't be disappointed.

    Boreanz was boring!
If you took an appallingly overacting David Boreanz and just as appallingly wooden Tara Reid out of this movie it would've been SO much better. I can only assume that both Reid and Boreanz were on drugs when they made this movie - Reid on sleeping pills as she constantly looked as if it was a huge effort just staying awake; and Boreanz on speed as he seemed unnaturally hyper all the way through the movie. If his portrayal of the devil is even remotely true, then its no wonder evil always loses in the fight against good. This film had a reasonable storyline, if a little 'spaghetti western' in places. I have all four movies and would have to say that one and three were the best of the series. This is a great shame as far as 'Wicked Prayer' goes as Edward Furlong was excellent as the doomed Jimmy Cuervo; his portrayal as the reluctant anti hero was very believable, and you really felt sympathy for his cursed existence. Sadly the whole concept was destroyed by Boreanz. His over the top portrayal of Luc Crash (aka Death/Satan) was so ridiculous that it quickly became boring; don't watch this expecting either a supernatural version of Seeley Booth or a variation of Angel - it aint happening; all you actually get is a strange man who appears to be either trying (increasingly desperately I may add) to steal the film from Furlong (and failing miserably) or who is under the influence (of what I don't know, and frankly care even less). If you love the crow films then this is worth a watch, if for no other reason than Furlong's portrayal of Cuervo. Don't watch it if you're a fan of Boreanz - this is NOT one of his better roles.
