Churchill the historian
Churchill at his best, writing clear, simple English. Covering the background, the personalities (without prejudice) and telling the story. Added to which he was at Omdurman and took part in cavalry charges. Great read.

The metropolitan elite exposed.
Rod Liddle is worth reading, on this, and anything else. He and I wouldn’t agree on everything, but here he uses his position as a journalist with a wide circle of friends and others to destroy the metropolitan elite. Their contempt for working people laid bare.
You would not have thought it could get worse after publication, but it did! Look forward to part 2,
