CITY OF EMBER
1 of 1 found this helpful Another great buy off ebay. A wonderful fantasy story for family entertainment. The film is easy to follow with some great colourful imagination. An adventure to find a way out of Ember City, a city built under ground many years ago to help the survival of mankind. But this will not last much longer as the generator is packing in!! The acting is good with some young new faces (Tim Robbins and Saoirse Ronan) some old ones (Bill Murry and Liz Smith). if you liked Spiderwick, Narnia etc then I think you would like this film, great all round family film...one to watch.

I bought this dvd on ebay for 99p bargain!!
Jim Carrey plays Walter Sparrow, a normal family guy with an average job, or is he? A very convincing roll (although his silly voice does slip out occasionally)in this mind-bending psychological thriller. I had to concentrate on the story as like most good thrillers plenty of twists! All in all a great watch for anyone who likes the unusual with not much gore.

SKELLIG
A great, GREAT BRITISH film, wonderful acting and a magical story. A normal young boy (Michael) lives in a normal world. Suddenly this turns into a fab fantasy. When his family finds the health of their new baby failing, things look grim and hit rock bottom. A story filled with love, faith, and encouragement for young and old. If you like a bit of fantasy and magic with a happy ending this is the one to watch.
