Not an ideal feeder
I was hoping it would be a good investment and easy to assemble. Unfortunately two of the sections were very loose fitting and I was forced to use weather proof tape to give it some stability in that area. I found it difficult to attach the brackets for the single hook and feeding dishes. It took some effort on my behalf to then slot the upright section into place. Thus causing some instability between the lower and middle sections.
The spike wasn't long enough to keep it upright and after much messing around with twine and tent pegs ( which luckily I had ) I managed to get it a little steadier and stop it falling over when a pigeon landed on it.
Though sadly not steady enough as it leaned very precariously. I eventually had to search on line for a better stabilising base. Had I known I would have been put to the extra expense of acquiring a better base support I wouldn't have bought the feeder in the first place. Although that has made a difference to it's stability in keeping it upright the loose fitting section is still not satisfactory and there is still some movement in the joint when birds land on it to feed. Creating a slight wobble that is of some concern to me..
I feel it's been a costly mistake and cannot recommend it. Unless one is prepared to put up with the aforementioned problem and ensuing cost of a better base support .

Perfect for my old shredder.
Good quality and a good deal. A nice light oil for lubricating shredder blades. I recommend it.
