Either a very bad reissue or a boot
I bought this sealed and still haven't opened or played it. I should have returned it, but I waited too long, and postage is a hassle. I'll explain. I'm a Marvin Gaye fan, but in this case I'm a fan of the late Ernie Barnes, whose painting was used as the cover. I have an original, but it's old and this was advertised as new and sealed. But the reproduction of the artwork is muddy and dark, not representative of the original at all. It's hard to believe this was an above-board license from Motown.

Excellent star-studded instrumental guitar rock
Very eclectic, with elements of surf, blues, garage, and world music. Luminaries pitching in include Jimmie Vaughan, Charlie Musselwhite, David Grissom, Ventures drummer Mel Taylor, Webb Wilder, sax legends Steve Douglas and Clifford Scott, and Finnish surf icons Laika & the Cosmonauts. But it's Teisco's show, as he extracts killer tones from his famous collection of "el-cheapo" electrics and the underutilized Guitorgan. CD Review gave it 5 stars.

Hail the Kinks
One of the Kinks' best and one of the best concept albums in rock history. Lots of extras in deluxe box.
